Front of House Manager
The Front of House Manager (“FOHM”) position at Hogs Head Golf Club (“HHGC”) is a wonderful opportunity to serve at one of the top private, resort golf clubs in the world. HHGC is seeking an experienced, dynamic and innovative (“FOHM”) Reporting to the Lodge Deputy Manager and General Manager of Hogs Head Golf Club. The (“FOHM”) functions as the leader of the Front of House operations for the 48 Bedroom Lodge and Cottages of HHGC and will oversee the smooth running of same, maintaining Hogs Head Golf Club’s policies and procedures and ensuring all staff meet these requirements. The mainstay of the role is to welcome and manage the luxurious personal experience for our Hogs and Guests during their time with us to ensure they receive the highest level of service on a consistent basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
· Create a warm, friendly, welcoming and engaging environment for all guests coming to Hogs Head Golf Club.
· Responsible for the following departments, Reception, Porters, Night Porters and Security of Hogs Head Golf Club.
· Champion the use of the Hogs and Hog guest name for all interactions with the front office teams.
· Liaise with the Concierge Manager, reservations and transport teams about all reservations and group bookings.
· Ensure that all itineraries are communicated to the team. As well as making sure the billing information is communicated to all departments, Reception/ F & B/ Spa etc.
· Understand in depth all information related to the upcoming bookings, query any inconsistencies and deliver this information to the front office team.
· Review all upcoming arrivals and itineraries for the following week to ensure the information is correct and that all the requests are coordinated and actioned. Communicate to the team.
· Assist with check in and check out where needed.
· Constantly liaise with the accommodation team. Ensuring we have rooms ready for early arrivals when possible. Departing rooms. Lost property. Charges etc.
· Monitor the allocation of rooms in the Lodge and cottages and move rooms if necessary to maximise efficiencies.
· Run daily briefings in areas of responsibility to ensure effective communication with HODs.
· Maintain a management presence throughout the department. Stepping up in the absence of the General/Deputy Manager.
· Ensure there is the correct amount of supervision at all times, especially for group check ins, late check ins and large tournament arrival/departures.
· To ensure appropriate levels of customer care are delivered at all times to our Hogs and guests.
· Ensure that all team members are following the Forbes Five-star standard and that SOP’s are in place for all tasks. Review these standards regularly with the team.
· Responsible for reception and Jonas training consistently throughout the season.
· Follow up on all guest requests and ensure they are actioned by the team.
· Monitor staff performances.
· Create the roster for reception team, ensuring compliance with all statutory work requirements ensuring time off for all team members.
· Record the hours in timepoint and control any overtime and ensure payroll and expenses are in line with the budget, explain any overages.
· Ensure security SOPs are followed by the night porter & security team. All reports must be followed up with the appropriate action and communicated with the senior management especially any security breaches, intruder alarms and fire alarms.
· Responsible for mentoring and coaching the team to achieve their goals and development programme. Responsible for all the training in the department.
· To execute a plan for luggage delivery and departure on a daily basis. Crucially during tournaments & busy departure days. Ensure guests are aware of luggage collections and all bags are tagged and delivered/departed as per SOP.
· Communicate any changes in travel plans, luggage plans, departure times to the guests ideally face to face or via a letter to their rooms.
· Monitor the team to ensure that the correct room rates are being charged on a nightly basis, that the end of day is completed and revenue reports are distributed to all.
· Compile the departmental budget for the following year and any capital expenditure requests.
· Deal with any complaints and action appropriately and communicate any shortfalls to the senior management team.
COMMUNICATION:
· To liaise efficiently with the GM and HOD’s to enhance our members and guest’s experiences at all times.
· Maintaining effective communication to ensure plans, challenges and successes are understood, and individual performance is aligned to Company requirements.
· Respond to any complaints and find the appropriate solution.
