You will play a crucial role in implementing and customising Salesforce solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing code, creating customisations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful Salesforce implementations. Your expertise in Salesforce development will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions that align with business requirements.

What Does An Average Day Look Like?

No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs and Salesforce solutions.
• Developing code and customisations using Apex, Aura, LWC, Lightning UI and other Salesforce technologies.
• Implementing and enforcing security best practices within Salesforce, ensuring data security, compliance with regulations (like GDPR).
• Participating in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Mentoring junior developers to implement high-quality solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and bugs, ensuring the stability and performance of Salesforce implementations.
• Conducting unit testing and participating in code review sessions to ensure high-quality development standards.
• Staying up-to-date with Salesforce best practices, new features, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance development processes.
• Documenting technical specifications and maintaining accurate records of development activities.

• Several years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong understanding of Salesforce development principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and other Salesforce technologies.
• Experience in customising Salesforce objects, workflows, validations, and other configurations to meet business requirements.
• Familiarity with Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, such as REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer I or Salesforce Certified Developer, are highly desirable.
