CNC Machine Operator

Due to its ongoing expansion, Kerry Mechanical Engineering (KME), based in Kilmorna, Co. Kerry is recruiting a CNC Machine Operator to work as part of a growing organisation. Operating for over 25 years, KME delivers a range of services in high-end steel fabrication and engineering. The successful candidate will be part of a 60 person team, serving a range of clients both nationally and internationally. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC tube laser machines according to job specifications and work orders.
• Load and unload materials, monitor the cutting process, and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Adjust machine settings and carry out basic troubleshooting as required.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Liaise with engineers, quality control, and other departments as necessary.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements:

• Preferably 2 years’ experience operating CNC laser machines
• Strong understanding of machine programming
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
• Forklift experience
• Flexibility to work evening shifts

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
