Due to its ongoing expansion, Kerry Mechanical Engineering (KME), based in Kilmorna, Co. Kerry is recruiting a Welder to work as part of a growing organisation. Operating for over 25 years, KME delivers a range of services in high-end steel fabrication and engineering. The successful candidate will be part of a 60 person team, serving a range of clients both nationally and internationally. This role offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate where you will gain vast and varied industry experience, whilst developing your career in a diverse work environment.
Responsibilities
Complete welding of steel components;
Read drawings and set up work area to carry out work safely, in a timely manner and correct to the drawing;
Getting production Right First Time (RFT);
Quantity and Quality of work to be of a high standard, free of defects and with attention to detail;
Work safely in line with company policy and Health and Safety Standards;
Carry out MIG welding to company standards and in accordance with EN1090;
Liaise directly with site management in fluent English to ensure smooth completion of work;
Work to tight deadlines;
Report any issues to management in a timely manner;
Attend and complete all required training;
Adhere to company safety statement, quality manual, associated procedures, and employee handbook.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience on the job experience in a manufacturing environment;
Ability to read drawings, weld symbols and weld procedures;
Strong attention to detail;
Ability to work on own initiative.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
