Job Title: External Sales Representative

Position: Permanent, full-time

The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting and developing existing accounts while growing overall sales.

Key Accountabilities:

  • “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods (door-to-door, cold calling, presentations etc.)
  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Evaluate customers’ skills and needs and build productive, long-lasting relationships
  • Meet personal and team sales targets
  • Manage and maintain existing customers
  • Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and training sessions to stay up-to-date
  • Report and provide feedback to management using financial and statistical data
  • Maintain and expand client database
  • Demonstrate a successful sales background and the ability to achieve KPIs and targets
  • Develop opportunities by researching and identifying potential and existing accounts
  • Build relationships at various levels to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of the company’s services
  • Price and quote customers effectively
  • Provide customers with technical information on the product range
  • Update weekly call sheets

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years of direct, B2B sales or customer success experience (preferably selling into businesses)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience in negotiating and closing sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Networking experience
  • Initiative and ability to solve fundamental problems and make routine decisions
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to ensure task completion
  • Leadership skills
