Our client, a leading main contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to oversee a surgical hub project based in Waterford. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills and a proven track record in managing healthcare construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee and manage engineering aspects of the surgical hub project from inception to completion.
Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address any issues that arise.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring all engineering solutions are practical and cost-effective.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications.
Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or queries.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety records.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on healthcare projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of civil engineering principles, construction processes, and relevant regulations.
