Join the Bar Team at the Brand-New Mercantile Hotel – Opening Soon in Dublin City!

We are excited to announce the opening of The Mercantile Hotel, right in the heart of Dublin City, and are seeking passionate and experienced Bartenders to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a vibrant pre-opening team and help shape a lively and memorable bar experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take part in all bar pre-opening tasks including setup, stock organisation, and assisting with bar menu development.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both guests and locals.
• Craft and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and precision.
• Ensure the bar is kept clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout service.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the drink and food menus, and confidently make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
• Uphold hygiene, health & safety, and licensing standards at all times.
• Support upselling and revenue-generation initiatives within the Food & Beverage department.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver seamless service during busy periods, events, and peak hours.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced bar or hospitality environment.
• A passion for delivering high-quality service and creating memorable guest moments.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and bar techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and engaging personality.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, high-energy environment.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in opening a new venue is a plus, but not essential.
