MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance and repair of automated equipment and systems:
Safety: Carry out regular safety audits of the equipment and systems in all sections of the plant, using whatever resources are necessary to effect corrections. Ensure that proper authorisations are obtained for all outside contract works and materials. Ensure that the Health and Safety regulations and policies are adhered to at all times and report any infringements of these regulations immediately.
New Equipment install and commissioning: Complete installation and commissioning of new equipment. Support Validation team to complete equipment validation. Specify and recommend new equipment for install or replacement.
Maintenance of facility systems and equipment: Support the facilities team in preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical/electrical equipment associated with a semi-automated warehouse
Standard Operating Procedures: Write up engineering procedures for the equipment for which he/she is responsible.
Quality: Execute all work in compliance with the relevant quality systems.
Other responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary for the effective operation of the engineering team.
