Role Title: Senior UX Designer (Mobile App)

Vhi is hiring a Senior UX Designer (full-time, 2-year contract), with a 5 years of experience, to design intuitive, accessible mobile App experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet user and business needs.

Role Purpose

• Lead Mobile UX Design
  Drive the design of iOS and Android experiences, ensuring intuitive navigation, seamless interactions, and adherence to Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.
• Champion Accessibility & Best Practices
  Ensure app experiences meet WCAG standards and apply expert knowledge of mobile components (e.g., navigation, gestures, animations) for polished, high-performing interfaces.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally
  Work with product managers, developers, and researchers to translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into actionable design solutions. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Drive Design Consistency & Implementation
  Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs while working with UI designers and developers to maintain design system integrity and ensure accurate implementation.
• Mentor & Innovate
  Guide junior designers, advocate for user-centred design, and stay ahead of industry trends to keep Vhi’s digital products innovative and competitive.

Education & Experience

• Experience & Portfolio
  5 years in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio of mobile (iOS/Android) and web projects.
• Mobile Design Expertise
  Deep knowledge of navigation patterns, gestures, and platform-specific guidelines.
• Accessibility & Inclusivity
  Proven experience with WCAG standards and designing inclusive digital products.
• Responsive & Agile Design
  Knowledge of responsive web design and experience in Agile or iterative environments.
• Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values

Skills and Abilities

• Figma & Design Execution
  Proficient in Figma for wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Mobile & Web Standards
  Strong knowledge of iOS (HIG), Android (Material Design), and responsive web design principles.
• Accessibility & Inclusivity
  Experience with WCAG compliance, screen readers, and inclusive design practices.
• Design Systems & Scalability
  Familiar with design systems and component libraries for consistent, scalable designs.
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving
  Strong teamwork skills with UI designers, developers, and stakeholders, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
