Wilton Scrap Metals Ltd are seeking an experienced welder for their busy facility in Naas, Co Kildare.

The Role:
Repair/replace damaged metal components to restore functionality & structural integrity of skips, painting same before reuse.
Use cutting torches, plasma cutters, and grinders to remove damaged sections or prepare surfaces for welding.
Fabricate custom components, brackets, or parts as needed for repairs or upgrades.
Complete welding repairs on truck bodies, frames and trailers using MIG, TIG , Stick and other welding techniques, as required.
Collaborate with mechanic/fitter to identify damaged parts requiring welding or fabrication.
Follow all workplace safety regulations and best practices. Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Maintain high standards of workmanship to minimize rework and downtime
Maintain detailed records of repairs, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Communicate effectively with site team members.
Key Skills Required:
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, or crouching).
Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and sometimes hot or cold environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Maintain a workplace that is safe and tidy at all times
Preferred certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in an automotive or heavy equipment environment
