OVERVIEW

The Lead Contents Technician is responsible for packing out contents for water and fire damaged commercial and residential properties, as well as, cleaning these contents. The Lead Contents Technician is the first line of customer service on the job, and will lead and coordinate packout teams, ensuring all members are informed and equipped to execute their roles effectively.To be successful, you must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, professional appearance, and excellent customer service and communication skills.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Receives direct or general supervision from CEO, Operations Manager, and Sales Manager.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.

· Monitor project progress and performance to ensure adherence to company standards and client expectations.

· Communicate effectively with managers and customers; addressing questions, concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.

· Perform on-site content packouts and inventory of personal belongings in residential and commercial settings.

· Safely and securely pack, label, and document items for transportation to our secure storage facility.

· Utilize appropriate packing materials and techniques to ensure the protection and preservation of items during transit and storage.

· Conduct detailed documentation and digital imaging of items, ensuring accurate and organized records.

· Load and unload items onto trucks, utilizing proper lifting and handling techniques to prevent damage.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.

· Follow established procedures and guidelines to meet quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

· Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, staying updated on industry best practices and advancements.

· Problem solve and analytically solve unexpected problems stemming from the disaster

· Meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer service

Knowledge of:

· Industry software: Xactimate, Encircle

· Proficient with a mobile smart phone device

· Developing and presenting creative solutions

· The company ethics, image, and goals and how they shall be reflected in the day to day job duties of you and your staff

· All policies and procedures of the Company, ability to apply and understand

· OSHA safety regulations of the industry and provide an active role in monitoring the safety of yourself and other team members

· Laws, rules, and regulations that govern the areas of your job

· Industry knowledge and the ability to seek knowledge if unknown

· Training and developing skills of team members

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· High School diploma or GED

· 3 years’ experience in restoration work preferred

· Familiar with variety or industry’s concepts, practices, and procedures

· IICRC certifications recommended

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs., necessary to perform job functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is routinely required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Employees work outside, in a conditioned warehouse, or in residential/commercial locations. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions, which vary from extreme cold to extreme hot. The employee may work in locations exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
