Job Description

Title:              SQL DBA

Location:      Need to be able to go into Pittsburgh, twice a week

Duration:     12 month rolling contract

-              SQL

-              Microsoft SQL SERVER

-              DBA

-              T-SQL

-              Performance Tuning

-              Load Balancing

-              Day to Day Functions
- Data Back up and Recovery

Job Description

  • SQL DBA, they run a vendor application, they use database files, they have a directory for each business, each business is like a database for that. QSM is a modeling application.
  • If an error happens, they send the backup to the vendor. DBA’s take a copy of the database then send the copy to the vendor to fix it. Monthly backups. They do Archives, any SQL issues that they need. What they are doing manually they are automated
