Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Wedding Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations and event coordination of our beautiful venue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, event management, and customer service, with a particular focus on weddings and special events. This role requires exceptional organizational and leadership skills to ensure smooth and seamless operations, while creating a memorable, elegant experience for all wedding couples and guests. You will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating wedding events, and ensuring the venue is prepared to exceed expectations.
Duties
- Lead, manage, and motivate a dedicated team of staff members, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for all guests.
- Oversee the planning and execution of wedding events, including coordination of logistics, timelines, setup, and breakdown to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Act as the main point of contact for couples, vendors, and staff before, during, and after the event, ensuring that all details are attended to with precision.
- Maintain and enforce high service standards for both the front and back of house operations, ensuring a flawless guest experience.
- Prepare and manage event documentation, including event schedules, guest lists, and any special requests, while tracking feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Handle wedding-related payments, invoices, and other financial transactions accurately, adhering to the venue’s financial policies.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., catering, maintenance, and sales) to ensure smooth operations and the seamless execution of events.
- Ensure the venue is compliant with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and a positive reputation.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to couples, helping them customize their wedding plans and choose the best options for their special day.
Requirements
- Proven experience in venue management, event coordination, or hospitality, with a strong preference for background in managing weddings or other large-scale events.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team, foster a positive work environment, and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Extensive experience in wedding planning, event logistics, and vendor coordination is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for clients.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Comfortable handling financial transactions, with experience in invoicing, budgeting, and cash handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for wedding events.
- A background in hospitality management or as an event coordinator is a plus, but not required.
