What You Will Contribute:

If so, Badger Meter wants you! We are looking to hire 2 Material Handlers, one in inventory and one in shipping. The hours will be 8am-5pm for shipping and 8:30am-5:30pm for inventory.
We're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented first shift Material Handler to join our production team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our materials flow seamlessly from receiving to shipping, and everywhere in between. You'll be instrumental in supporting our production processes and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory.
The Material Handler is directly responsible for performing receiving, shipping, and storage functions in support of production operations according to established procedures. This position primarily requires the ability to move materials to and from material storage, shipping, receiving, and production areas with accurate and timely reporting of all material relocations.
Job Duties:
Receive materials from external or internal suppliers according to established procedures including PO confirmations, hazardous material labeling, and reports of shipping damage.
Enter and prepare receiving information and documentation and distribute both documents and materials to next location according to procedure.
Prepare, package, weigh, mark and ship products to customers according to established procedures. Position requires deliveries to be made to and from external suppliers.
Perform cycle counts and inventory verifications and record in our LX system.
Perform required housekeeping functions in order to maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
Move products safely in and out of warehouses
Education and Experience:
High School/GED required
0-1 years of warehouse experience desired
Qualifications:
If applicable, ability to pass internal forklift test
Basic knowledge of inventory control preferred
Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required
Basic computer knowledge and navigating a computer.
Preferred use of inventory or shipping software (ERP, SAP, AS400 or other)
Preferred use of RF scanners
Preferred experience with cycle counting

Working Conditions:
This role requires overtime every other Saturday (6-8 hours) and flexibility for overtime during the week.

Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
