Academic Req: Required - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in administration, psychology, social work, criminal justice or other relevant behavioral science. Master’s preferred.
Work Experience: Required- 5 years of executive management and supervisory experience and/or training.
Preferred – Four (4) plus years of experience providing financial oversight and management to multi-million-dollar organization, programs, or projects. Non-profit or public service background a plus. Experience in managing and expanding large-scale operations is highly valued.
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1. Oversee the coordination of organizational, community, programmatic, and financial components of services provided to the service population, ensuring that individual needs are effectively met.
2. Foster a culture where collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development are prioritized, inspiring staff to consistently deliver outstanding services.
3. Design and implement an organizational management structure that aligns with industry best practices, facilitates optimal service delivery, and ensures the safety and well-being of the service population and staff across multiple sites, locations and states, as applicable.
4. Develop, manage, and forecast a multimillion budget to support operational needs and program goals.
5. Hold accountability for the division’s overall performance, outcomes, and compliance.
6. Address and resolve program deficiencies to ensure full compliance with federal and state contractual and regulatory guidelines and standards.
7. Assume fiscal responsibility by ensuring programming remains within budget, providing detailed justification and documentation for all expenses as required.
8. Proactively, monitor industry trends and emerging challenges to adjust strategies accordingly.
9. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donor contributions, and partnerships.
10. Oversee the development and execution of fundraising campaigns to ensure financial sustainability.
11. Leverage technology to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and support organizational growth.
12. Conduct routine site visits to office locations to ensure that facilities, grounds, and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and reflect the organization’s standards and values.
13. Lead the market by promoting innovation in program design and operational strategies to address unmet needs.
14. Maintain a 90% or higher compliance rate in managing the operating budget, adhering to agency guidelines.
15. Keep annual staff turnover rates below 10%.
16. Achieve and maintain a 90% or higher compliance rate with contracting entities, as well as internal and external audits.
17. Hire, train, supervise, and provide regular performance reviews for program personnel, maintaining effective communication with team members.
18. Conduct periodic and random audits of program files to ensure adherence to program standards, practices, and guidelines.
19. Facilitate monthly leadership meetings and quarterly all-staff meetings to align organizational goals and proactively address critical issues.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Explore, identify, and promote industry’s best practices, facilitates optimum delivery of services and ensures the safety and well-being of the service population and staff at multiple sites and locations.
2. Promote communication and cooperation among regions to create a spirit of unity in the organization.
3. Monitor and analyze program data, providing regular reports on activities, risks, and recommendations to the President.
4. Represent agency by maintaining positive relationships and communication with the community, churches, the public, government, state, and other federal agencies that result in a positive image and excellent reputation of organization.
5. Collaborate with the President to negotiate lease agreements and other vendor service contracts.
6. Model the way, leading by example embodying and promoting our work culture, upholding high standards of excellence, transparency, and accountability.
Requirements:
1. Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of non-profit/business operations.
2. Work a flexible schedule including availability nights, holidays, and weekends – travel required.
3. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
4. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
5. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
6. Demonstrated excellent leadership skills through command presence and reinforcement of agency mission, vision, and culture to drive a passionate, engaged, and accountable workforce.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills to inspire, grow, manage, and coach a high-performing team.
8. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
c. Organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently.
d. Work in a fast-paced environment, minimal supervision and always maintain emotional control and professional composure.
9. Perform other job duties to benefit the mission of the organization.
