Job Description Provides contract process management and functional support to the Legal department to ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a legally compliant environment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Experience 3 years of experience in a law office or internal legal department Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Education High school diploma or equivalent Certification Summary Paralegal or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of and ability to do legal research and draft/review legal documents Must be organized and excellent at written and verbal communication All-around computer skills and proficiency Demonstrated exercise of sound judgment and solutions orientation Must type a minimum of 50 error-free words per minute Job Responsibilities Manage contract processes for assigned specialties including organizing, attending, and leading meetings, making presentations, responding to requests or questions related to contract content. Review and edit agreements from vendors and other third parties incorporating appropriate language and solutions that support compliance with legal specifications, business policies and applicable governmental regulations. Draft a wide variety of client contracts using appropriately selected templates and incorporating appropriate language to support compliance with legal specifications, business policies and applicable governmental regulations. Assist in interpreting contract language and responding to requests or questions related to contract content. Manage contracts flowing through the contract management system review process including changes in agreement, amendments, addendums and maintains version control. Provide instruction related to navigation of the contract management system to client groups and system users. Develop and conduct training for system users on contracting policies and procedures and the contract management system. Research, analyze and review statutory, regulatory, and case law. Coordinate and participate in special legal projects, as needed. Assist with review and drafting of policies, procedures, and legal correspondence. Support and participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of legal services. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or his or her designee.
