Assistant Life After 21 Instructor
Doylestown | Part Time, Hourly | $14.50 - $16 per hour | Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm

We are looking for an Assistant Life After 21 Instructor to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the community around us. We help young adults increase independence through community based activities, job skill exploration, and healthy living experiences.

What is needed for this job as an Assistant Life After 21 Instructor:
- 21 years of age
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health concerns in a recreational or educational setting
- Degree completed or in progress in a related field
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families and other staff members
- Excellent observation skills to monitor individuals physical, and emotional well-being.
- Are able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
The responsibilities we will trust you with as an Assistant Life After 21 Instructor:
- Working with 3-4 participants daily, engaging in activities that support the program pillars.
- Assisting the Lead Instructor in monitoring the day to day functions of the Life After 21 program.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities
- Adapt program activities and provide support to meet participant's needs
- Complete incident/injury reports and other documentation as needed
- Log medications and obtain signatures from caregiver on a daily basis for medications administered
- Take attendance of participants
- Support the training and development of new hires
