Position Overview: Our Driver Manager Trainee will be overseeing and managing a group of 45-65 Drivers. Managing that driver group's payroll and monitoring driver performance. You will work closely with fellow team members and interface directly with customers and drivers to ensure timely delivery according to contract requirements.
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7AM - 4PM

Responsibilities:
- Dispatches tractors and trailers to meet assigned route schedules
- Coordinates equipment maintenance issues with maintenance personnel
- Track routes
- Coordinate with other dispatchers in assisting drivers
- Effectively communicate instructions to drivers
- Ensure DOT compliance is maintained throughout the course of the route
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Experience within the transportation industry (certainly not necessary)
- Fluent using Microsoft Office products and database management
- Balance between verbal and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to conceptualize big picture ideas
- Team player and self-starter!
- Transportation Experience preferred.
