Responsibilities On the Clinical Design IDS team, we work as one team partnering with Medicines Development Clinical Design delivering cost-effective science through the development of novel and innovative clinical trial designs, technology solutions and execution strategies. Our business outcomes are focused on speeding drug development and providing the best experience for providers and patients. We have a critical need for an Associate Consultant in our Clinical Design and Statistical Innovation Center IDS team. This role will be primarily focused as a Technology Leader and Data Platform Business Analyst role within the Design Hub Analytics Initiative (DHAI) program focused on the support, strategy, execution, and evolution of some of the top assets in MDU IDS. This program has not only been highly recognized internally but was also recognized this year as a CIO100 and FutureEdge50 award winner. This role will have multiple responsibilities including, but not limited to: Execution Leadership, product support, product owner partnership, technology and data leadership. This position will report to the Associate Director IDS, Clinical Design and Statistical Innovation Key Objectives and Deliverables Technology Business Analysis and Partnership Develop and maintain key relationships with business product owners and senior leadership to understand and predict the business needs, translate into IDS requirements and partner to enable and execute on the Data Platform product strategy and vision. Provide IDS ownership of the DHAI Data Platform which is one of the key foundational products within he DHAI suite providing the single source of data of our other key products within the DHAI program such as the Patient Investigator Country Data Insights and Optimization (PIC-DIO) and Study Design Data Insights and Optimization (SD-DIO). Collaborate and coordinate with the other IDS Business analysts Work with internal partners and vendors to create and support a robust Platform product backlog, and work within the dev team to estimate, plan and deliver on prioritized items in each sprint. Work closely with the IDS Solution Architect and global Technical Leads to form a cohesive strategy and execution plan around the Platform roadmap, strategy, and operationalization model. Data and Technology Leadership Gather user requirements and translate them into business solutions. Drive solutions for data integration, data prep, ingestion, cleansing, and transforming raw data into curated datasets for business consumption. Incorporate deep data management expertise into solutions, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring. Identify, troubleshoot and drive the resolution of data issues. Work with business and IT groups to understand source systems and enterprise infrastructure offerings. Work with data from multiple data sources to build integrated views that will drive decisions Works with solution architects and others explore technology solutions and advancement with an eye toward continuous improvement. Execution Leadership & Dev Ops Work in Agile Sprints with business facing project teams Partner with and leverage key vendors on strategy, development and execution while holding them accountable to contracted deliverables and ensuring a quality delivery. Responsible for the success of critical projects or program deliverables including tight execution against timelines and budgets, vendor management, and mitigation of issues to drive value with business partners. Work closely with IT quality representative to drive toward a high degree of quality, compliance, and regulatory standards in the delivery of services and projects and ensure compliance with data security standards for all appropriate systems with the sphere of ownership In coordination with dev/ops resources, work to ensure incidents are identified and resolved quickly, system validation and security requirements are maintained, and business partners are updated and aware of issues. Basic Qualifications More than 2 years of experience delivering large IT programs or projects Bachelor’s Degree Data model design and implementation experience. Experience with AWS data technologies (such as Aurora Postgres, S3 & other AWS Data Services) covering security, policies, access management Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position Additional Skills/Preferences: Product ownership and cross functional collaboration ability Experience with Agile Development, Jira, CI/CD and Github Programming experience with SQL Excellent oral and written communication skills. A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills Experience in applying quality and compliance requirements, change control, testing.
