Summary Ensures and/or provides patient care in accordance with professional licensure (PT, OT, SLP). Performs assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions that are consistent with the discipline's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Coordinates care, oversees staffing, and guides and mentors the rehabilitation team to ensure the plan of care for the patient population is rendered appropriately. Directs and manages patient care. Manages material, financial, and human resources within assigned area. Assumes accountability for the development and implementation of Rehabilitation Programs and Services within area of expertise. Job Duties Manages clinical operations, business and financial planning, and quality improvement projects. Assumes responsibility for the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services. Directs rehab services operations such as staff interviews, orientation, performance appraisals, and employee development. Develops policies, procedures, service standards, and work flows to support the consistent application of practices across function. Holds staff accountable for meeting policies and standards of operations and coaches staff appropriately to improve performance. Administers interventions consistent with treatment plan based on evidence based best practice. Promotes team building and engagement to promote an efficient and positive work environment. Provides ongoing assessment and analysis of patient functioning and progress. Develops treatment protocols for rehabilitation services specifically related to patient conditions within area of expertise. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology. 3 years Clinical experience in professional field (PT, OT, SLP). Ability to exercise judgment in making critical decisions. Expert level knowledge of clinical operations and related business processes. American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire OT - Licensed Occupational Therapist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or PT - Licensed Physical Therapist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or SLP - Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology. DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
