About the Role & Program
This internship supports The Walt Disney Company’s Employee Communications team, which creates and distributes content to enhance the Disney employee experience. In this role, you will help develop and track internal communications to inform, engage, and inspire our world-class employees! Our team supports all segments of The Walt Disney Company, which will give you exposure to various lines of business—including our international segments.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from June 2025-January 2026.
What You Will Do
As an Employee Communications Intern, you will…
Support communications operational needs, such as email, newsletters, executive communications and updating intranets
Manage internal email distributions, including layout and design optimization, management of distribution lists, and message deployment
Organize a calendar of employee communications being sent via email, shared via articles or posted via internal notifications
Collaborate with the employee communications team to help implement strategic plans
Build relationships across Disney and share best practices
Required Qualifications & Skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong grammar skills and confidence in copy editing/proofreading
Organized, diligent, and excellent time management skills
Flexible, adaptable, and a team player
Positive attitude, personable, and self-motivated
Ability to handle confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of email distribution platform management; Salesforce.com is a plus
Light graphic design experience – Adobe Creative Suite Programs (i.e. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
Previous experience working with HTML
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in communications, public relations, CRM, marketing or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.
Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program
