For details, please visit the Employee Benefits tab on our main careers page at https://www.johnsoncontrols.com/careers What you will do Under direct supervision of the System Engineering Leader with daily tasking from Systems Designers and Systems Engineers. This position will be performing routine technical and administrative tasks as well as data entry that support the systems design/engineering activities of a Branch or Regional Systems Engineering Team. How you will do it Data Entry in SMART Tool and Engineering Dashboard to track progress on engineering tasks for the team. With support from the System Engineering Leader, conduct Bi-Weekly meetings with individual engineers and designers to gather information on project progress and review efficiency. Read and understand specifications / contract requirements for submittal documentation requirements on secured controls projects. Assembles project submittals for customer approval, ensuring that all required information for the submittal is included and transmitted to the customer. Ensures that all material is ordered for assigned projects, coordinates and tracks delivery for System Engineers and Designers as necessary. Handles excess material at project closeout by sending it back to the factory or transferring it to another project under the direction of the Project Manager or Lead System Specialist. May assist with preparation and layout of installation drawings using the standards library. Revises engineered drawings by compiling field changes into one set of as-built drawings. Work with local printing companies to develop hard bound manuals of submittals when necessary. Secondary duties include utilizing the standards library to revise system graphics for projects. Completes valve, damper and room schedules as required under the direction of the Lead Systems Specialist, Systems Designer or Systems Engineer. What we look for Required: High School diploma or equivalent required. Demonstrated some technical aptitude. Must be proficient with computers and navigating Windows 10. Attention to detail. Good communication and listening skills. Previous experience with computer aided design or graphics design preferred but not required. Strong Organizational Skills utilizing digital filing and online repositories. Experience with Office 365 Tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Visio experience would be a plus.
