ISO Coordinator
Reports to: EHS Manager Department: Safety

Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly

Position Summary: The ISO Coordinator is responsible for the environmental / ISO functions for the home building facility. The ISO coordinator will implement and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations while coordinating required training for environmental and ISO programs.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to develop environmental procedures
- Responsible for overall administration of plant ISO procedures and manuals
- Schedule EMS Committee meetings and target and objective team meetings
- Track required data and graph and trend those related to ISO objectives and targets
- Create and update ISO communication media
- Schedule, track and when necessary conduct EMS training (EA training, general EMS training, SOP training, etc.)
- Implement and train team on waste segregation to include coordinating universal and hazardous waste disposal.
- Maintain environmental compliance tracking sheet.
- Maintain all updates to manual, provide document control, file IAW ISO requirements and properly manage obsolete information.
- Conduct thorough investigations of non-conformances using the required corrective action form and root cause analysis.
- Work with EMS teams to develop preventative actions and maintain continuous improvement log.
- Schedule and participate with the EHS Manager in conducting Internal Audits, Management reviews and third- party audits.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of all local, state and federal laws and submit required data to third party for processing of regulatory reports.
- In conjunction with the EHS Manager, lead the cultural change to become more environmentally friendly at home and at work.
- Develop relationships in the local community to further environmental awareness and change.
- Train in safety to be the EHS Manager’s back-up.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, 2-year degree in environmental field is a plus
- Self-motivated, analytical thinking
- Strong organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations is a plus
- Good people / communication skills and the ability to follow-up and hold others accountable
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally use ladders / steps to enter and exit homes.
- Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Works in an environment that includes exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Work primarily involves sitting / standing, may involve a moderate amount of bending / stretching.
