Sentara is hiring a Surgical Assistant for Sentara Leigh Hospital, in Norfolk, Virginia.

A $15,000 Sign On Bonus offered for qualified candidates!

Relocation Packages available.

Shift : Full Time, First Shift

REQUIREMENTS :

• Virginia Surgical Assistant License / Registration REQUIRED
• National Certification REQUIRED
• Completion of Surgical Assistant program REQUIRED
• Orthopedic surgery experience PREFERRED

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250-bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological and urological services. Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical / surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care. The hospital offers a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology services. It also encompasses a Family Maternity Center.

Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA / CSFA) works as a 1st or 2nd assistant to the surgeon and under the direction and supervision of that surgeon may perform specific significant surgical tasks.

Qualifications :

TS - Trade School Graduate : Surgical Assistant (Required)
