If you have a passion for orthopedic and total joint procedures, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our mission to deliver exceptional patient care.Essential Duties : Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.Review patient health data relevant to the operative or invasive procedure (e.g., history and physical).Assist in surgeries by : Using instruments, retractors, suction, and sponging techniques.Handling and dissecting tissues.Clamping and ligating vessels, coagulating bleeding points.Placing drains and suturing muscle, fascia, subcutaneous, and skin as directed by the surgeon.Serve as a resource to peers and colleagues.Maintain regulatory, credentialing, and privileging requirements.Participate in ongoing education and competency verification.Ensure privacy and confidentiality of health information.Requirements : Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program.Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).Certified surgical assistant (CSA), Certified surgical first assistant (CSFA), Surgical assistant, certified, (SA-C) or equivalent certificationLicensure to practice in the State of VirginiaBasic Life Support (BLS) certification.At least two years of perioperative services experience, with a preference for orthopedic and total joint procedures.This organization participates in E-Verify.
