The Shelf Analyst drives presentation thru strategic recommendations on space, version, localization and KPI metrics. The SA also executes the set-up, design and distribution of planograms meeting timeline with a high level of accuracy. The SA is highly collaborative working with merchandising area(s) to successfully align to their strategies and a part of the team that drives for a successful customer experience. *Hybrid Schedule offered: Monday-Wednesday in-office, Thursday-Friday flexible/remote days.* . What You'll Be Doing: Combines analytical tools such as Assortment Optimization and reporting with product knowledge/expertise to drive improvements in assortment, presentation, capacity, and availability. Works with Merchandising team to ensure that planograms comply with Meijer standards and guidelines. Works with Merchant to implement a rules-based process to automate planogram creation through JDA’s Planogram Generator tool. Drives execution and compliance of item and space assignments using analytics in Assortment Optimization and Planogram Generator. Develop Action List by creating complex rule statements within Planogram Generator to drive clusters, versions and store specific planograms that impact total chain. Uses sound decision quality to choose the best way to group products to align to the Merchandising strategy. Verify all Merchandising components such as signage, capacity, visual presentation and item dimensions to fixture for new set to ensure a seamless execution and customer experience. Partners with the Buyer and Vendors (if applicable) as a key team member of the transition process to create new draft planogram utilizing the Add Order. Communicates major changes to annual plan to ensure store labor is allocated and within budget. Creates final version of planogram including planogram cover notes and provides critical reports to buyer for final approval. Responsible for on time delivery of planograms in system to open visibility to core team to begin product flow and product lifecycle. What You'll Bring With You (Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree preferred Previous merchandising and/or retail experience preferred. Prior experience in planogram process and system preferred. Software: JDA Space Planning/Intactix and Intactix Knowledge Base. Previous experience in Merchandising, Merchandising Presentation or related department. Passion for data and ability to analyze and interpret data to provide insightful recommendations. Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task under pressure. Collaborative attitude in supporting changes in work flow to support business needs. High standards in accuracy and attention to detail. Results focused uses performance targets and goals to drive priorities that drive success. Ability to build reports, gather and interpret data for various reports, as appropriate. Knowledge of the retail industry; understanding of specific category product lines and core customer behavior. Results focused; uses performance targets and goals to drive own activities as well as help team to succeed. Proficient in Office computer skills; able to learn company systems and tools, preference for Microsoft application experience.
