Position Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Director of Indirect Procurement with a strong background in IT to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in procurement, specializing in indirect spend, and a proven track record in managing IT procurement strategies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Development: Create and execute a comprehensive indirect procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, with an emphasis on IT services, software, and hardware.
• Category Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of indirect categories to identify sourcing opportunities, drive supplier negotiations, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and suppliers, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Streamline procurement processes for indirect spend, implementing best practices and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the indirect procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines while maximizing value and minimizing costs.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives.
• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends and supplier innovations to develop sourcing strategies and enhance procurement effectiveness.
• Reporting and Metrics: Develop and present procurement performance metrics and reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in indirect procurement, with at least 5 years focusing on IT categories.
• Demonstrated expertise in sourcing indirect products and services, with strong negotiation skills.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a results-driven approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and technologies, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Workday.
• Knowledge of current market trends and best practices in indirect procurement
