What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Coordinator/Receptionist (Dental Experience Required) position at 10th Street Dental Assistant?
This postion is will start at 10th Street Dental and transition to new clinic being built at Dawley. Busy dental clinic looking for person to do insurance verification and front office work. We have a great team of professionals and look forward to meeting you!
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Obtain necessary authorizations and referrals for medical procedures
- Review and process insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or denials
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide guidance on coverage options
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate coding of procedures and diagnoses
- Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines, and industry regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process complex information
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
