The Role:
11:11 Systems is seeking an Data Center HVAC Technician to join our team! You will be overseeing the mechanical and HVAC systems of our Carlstadt, NJ data center facility. This is a hands-on role on-site at our 24/7 mission critical site. You will focus on both corrective and preventative maintenance operations. Your responsibilities will encompass diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC and mechanical systems and ensuring continuous operation of our site. This role demands a solid understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and the flexibility to handle emergencies and change management.
This role is a full-time, on-site role at our Carlstadt, New Jersey data center facility.
What You’ll Do:
- Complete repairs, corrective maintenance, installation, and commissioning of critical facilities infrastructure including CRAHs, CRACs, and other related equipment
- Perform refrigerant evacuation, leak testing, and recharging of DX systems
- Routinely inspect HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure proper operation
- Ensure continued documentation of all repairs and inspections performed in-house or by third party vendors.
- Work with outside mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical vendors as necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance on critical infrastructure in accordance with a set schedule
- Work with facilities engineering team to adjust and review the PM schedule as needed
- Aid all critical maintenance and installation/commissioning activities
- Respond to on-site incidents as needed during emergencies and change management
- Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values
- Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies
- Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements
- Additional duties as assigned
Who You Are & What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of work experience required
- Experience with Liebert CRAH and CRAC (DX) units
- Experience with Trane and Carrier air-cooled chillers is a plus
- Hands on repairs of mechanical and HVAC systems including compressors, fan motors, belts, pulleys, and other core components
- Hands on maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems including lubrication, filter replacements, and general inspection
- EPA certification required
- Ideal candidate will be a self-starter eager to take personal ownership of our critical systems
- You perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation
