Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a full-time Collections Team Lead to work out of our corporate headquarters in Cleveland, OH!
The Collections Team Lead is a key member of the Shared Services group, responsible for reducing account delinquency and implementing solid business processes while leading a successful team. This is accomplished through developing strong customer, field, and strategic account relationships.
In this position, you’ll utilize your leadership, communication, and organizational skills to contribute to continuous improvement and lead team toward goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and communicate areas of improvement within Accounts Receivable; propose and implement solutions
- Assign and communicate goals to team members, provide support and guidance in working toward goals
- Maintain open communication with Central Collections Manager regarding team goals, metrics/results, customer account statuses, etc.
- Utilize tools (i.e SAP, BOBJ) to support decision making, proactively communicate decisions with stakeholders
- Collect, analyze, and report customer accounts receivable metrics to track deliverables
- Communicate with Field and Central teams to determine root causes of issues leading to debt, implement action plans to minimize future debt
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-5 years of collections management experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; functions well individually and within a team
- Goal-oriented and committed to continuous improvement; willingness to take on new responsibilities
