Position Highlights: Position: EMS Instructor Location: Float among the NorthShore Legacy facilities and EMS departments Part-time: 20 hours per week Hours: day shift Required Travel: Yes What you will need: License: Registered Nurse or Paramedic License Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (preferred), Currently licensed in the State of Illinois. EMT-B/EMT-P preferred. Certification: BLS Experience: Diverse experience in Emergency Department and Critical Care Nursing and/or Firefighter/Paramedic experience. Skills: ACLS/TNS/PALS/ECRN/BTLS/Teaching Experience preferred. Ability to lecture on a wide variety of topics to pre-hospital providers and hospital staff. What you will do: Per Illinois Department of Public Health EMS requirements, the resource hospital must provide continuing education to EMT-B/EMT-P, ECRN, and Emergency Dispatcher personnel. Coordinates, teaches and evaluates EMT classes according to DOT curriculum, IDPH Rules and Regulations and HPH EMS System protocol and policies. Reviews curriculum for all programs on an annual basis, updates courses and exams as appropriate.
