Department Public Health Administration Job Summary Under minimal supervision, performs as an advanced program evaluator. Leads and supports the methodical and theoretical design and analyzes with the assigned programs and departments. Utilizes robust methods for program evaluation to understand the implementation and effectiveness of programs and proposes actionable public health recommendations to improve public health programs. Provides guidance a, input and support to other program areas and Denver health for the conceptualization, design, methods, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of program evaluation activities. Develops, creates and delivers reports, presentation and communication materials to internal and external stakeholders to summarize program evaluation results to inform program practices and policies. Identifies evaluation opportunities which support health practices and community programs. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Needs to have exceptional organizational skills wit the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. This position will lead and oversee the daily activities of other tam members and actively mange projects. Essential Functions: Leads teams to conduct program evaluation or research studies using quantitative or qualitative analytic methods. (45%) Works collaboratively with research or program managers to develop and lead processes, data workflows, and evaluation metrics, including logic models, detailed work plans, and process and outcome measures to meet project objectives. (0%) Determine appropriate methodology to evaluate program effectiveness and implementation. (0%) Works with internal and external partners to guide, implement, and evaluate public health programs. (0%) Participates in leadership and management activities to support the mission and objectives of the institution. (0%) Leads the methodological and theoretical design of evaluation and research projects. (0%) Interprets and disseminates evaluation or quality improvement results to key stakeholders, funders, and the research community through oral, media, and written communication to improve program implementation or public health action. (20%) Delivers presentations, and facilitates discussions and media communications of key findings and recommendations. (0%) Prepares written communications including informational briefs, web communications, reports, and manuscripts in peer-reviewed publications. (0%) Designs, establishes, and supports program areas in defining monitoring and visualization tools for program operations. (10%) Develops protocols for program operations, complete with a synthesis of existing literature, objectives, data collection tools or sources, standard operating procedures, including data flow and an analytic plan. (10%) Obtains approval and ensures compliance with appropriate institutional review board (IRB) or Denver Health approval processes for grants and program evaluation activities. (10%) Supports writing of grant application for program evaluation activities. (5%) Education: Bachelor's Degree Education, Business, Instructional Design, Public Health, Biostatistics, Social Science or other related field. Required Work Experience: 4-6 years 5 years of professional experience in conducting broad and complex range of program evaluation, activities pertaining to public health. Required Licenses: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated skills selecting and applying qualitative theory and analytic approaches. Demonstrated leadership capacity. Experience required in developing, designing and recruiting qualitative methods to identify, collect, analyze and report on data relevant to public health. Experience communicating health information to a variety of audiences. Demonstrated capacity to establish and foster collaborations. Experience in writing protocols or grants preferred. Previous experience as a lead or co-author on publications in peer-reviewed journals preferred. Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency in qualitative data analysis software. Experience in quantitative statistical software programs.
