Responsibilities:
- Operates injection molding machines and all necessary support equipment to meet production schedules and maintain required customer quality standards while following internal policies and procedures.
- Maintains and operates in a safe and clean work environment while complying with company 5S standards to increase operational efficiencies and OSHA regulations to reduce workplace injuries.
- Effectively communicates job assignment, work instruction, and job specific problems with oncoming shift to ensure a smooth transition to meet production requirements.
- Visual part inspection and determination of acceptability against known standards.
- Acceptable packaging of parts produced.
- Acceptable labeling and identification of parts produced.
- Accurately reporting of all parts produced as either Good or Scrap using labor tickets.
- Continually monitors machine operation to alertly stop machine should parts not fall clear of the mold during part ejection.
- Operates all equipment safely, uses personal protective equipment when necessary and follow all safety procedures.
- Operates all equipment efficiently as directed by supervisor.
- Notifies superiors of conditions affecting equipment operation, part quality, or unsafe working conditions.
- Complies with all directives from superiors and Quality Control personnel including scrap reporting.
- Complies with all 5S standards and OSHA regulation.
- Continually manages grinding of runners and scrap parts as directed by superiors.
- Completes operations review with oncoming shift and relief personnel.
- Ensures shift-end machine and work area clean up and completes on an as needed throughout the day.
- Participates in rework and sorting activities and provides accurate supporting documentation as required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Some experience in machine operation required.
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out written and verbal work instructions. Deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables in or from the situations encountered on the job.
- Ability to add and subtract up to four-digit numbers, perform basic multiplication and division.
- Ability to read and recognize two- or three-syllable words, print and speak simple sentences.
Pay: $15/hr
