Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Zyglo inspection on castings using fluorescent penetrant testing to detect surface defects such as cracks, voids, and other imperfections.
- Immerse castings in the dye solution and ensure proper application of the fluorescent penetrant.
- Inspect castings under ultraviolet (UV) light to identify any defects that may be invisible under normal lighting conditions.
- Record and document inspection results, including any defects found, and report to the quality control team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection equipment and work areas.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing inspections.
- Participate in all required training and certification programs related to Zyglo inspection methods and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Zyglo inspection or other quality control positions is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify surface defects in castings.
- Willingness to learn and undergo training and certification in Zyglo inspection techniques.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control method.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
- Must be able to lift and move items, such as castings, as needed.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
Pay: $17.16/hr
