The Wicked Weed Funkatorium is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and motivated server/bartender. Serving guests with an enthusiastic and friendly attitude and knowledge of the Wicked Weed Funkatorium craft beers, wines, food, and cocktails. Provides an elevated customer experience to each customer, goes above and beyond to always provide outstanding customer service, and always maintains a positive and confident demeanor on the floor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Attend pre-shift meetings (line-up). Ability to serve guests in ALL spaces including walk-up bar service, counter service, and table service. Maintain a thorough understanding of the beer, wine, and cocktail list. Maintain full knowledge of menu offerings and preparation techniques, including dietary restriction information. Be knowledgeable regarding the operating hours of Wicked Weed Brewing locations, brewery tours, and any promotions/events. Take food orders, expediting food, etc. Follow up with guests using a minute/two bite check-back rule. Advise GM or MOD of any VIP’s or special requests of guests. Serve alcohol to customers responsibly and politely while adhering to training guidelines. Cut off individuals when necessary and communicate to GM and/or FOH MOD. Accurately tender money and give change for purchases. Beer knowledge: Accurately describe all beers on tap and in bottles, compare beers and styles, and know proper glassware and price points. Wine knowledge: Accurately describe all by-the-glass wine offerings. Cocktail knowledge: General understanding of cocktail crafting and liquor offerings. Complete opening setup, maintain running side work, and complete closing duties and light cleaning projects as needed. Leaves bar clean and ready for the next shift (stocking, communicating any 86’d items to MOD) Changes kegs as needed. Lifting kegs may be required. Preparations of bar needs like syrups, juices, cut and dehydrated fruits along with anything needed for execution of the bar program. Mixes and serves alcoholic beverages up to the Cultura standard. Provide an elevated experience for every guest. Stock service area with supplies and bus tables. Must have a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and holidays are required). Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to provide an elevated dining experience to every guest. Education and/or Experience: Minimum experience of one year as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant. Liquor bartending experience is required. Craft cocktail experience preferred. Cicerone level one (beer server) is required within 30 days of employment. Full service and walk-up dining room experience. Prior money-handling experience. POS system experience (Toast or DCRS a plus). SERV Safe certified is a plus. Food, craft beer, and wine knowledge. Cicerone and/or Sommelier certifications are a plus. TIPS certification required (in-house training available).
