C.H. Robinson is hiring a Tax Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert in tax compliance, accounting, and policy, ensuring our tax strategies align with business objectives. This role is critical in driving compliance, strategic planning, and financial analysis—minimizing tax liabilities while advancing company objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Overseeing all aspects of international tax compliance, including preparation, filing, review, and communication, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws
Assisting team members with ongoing modeling of Pillar 2, Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, and other tax regulations
Developing and executing tax strategies to minimize liabilities
Collaborating with cross-functional global teams, auditors, and departments such as Legal, Accounting, and Treasury to manage tax functions, support statutory audits, and address customer needs
Advising management on the tax implications of business activities, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments
Managing and coordinating tax audits, preparing responses to inquiries from governmental authorities, including the IRS
Reviewing financial records, expense reports, and past tax filings to identify opportunities for tax savings
Preparing and presenting tax reports to senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations
Ensuring accuracy of international tax provisions in financial statements and disclosures
Providing insights into tax obligations and benefits to support budgeting and forecasting
Maintaining comprehensive tax records and correspondence for compliance and future reference
Staying current with evolving tax legislation and assessing its impact on company operations
Providing indirect coaching, review, and delegation to lower-level tax professionals
Performing other duties as assigned based on team and country-specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate taxation and/or public accounting
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
Preferred:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field; alternatively, a J.D.
CPA and/or EA certification
Proven experience in tax compliance, planning, and strategy within a global organization
Advanced knowledge of federal, state, local, and international tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience preparing international tax forms (8858, 5471, 8865, etc.)
Experience responding to IRS and other tax authority inquiries
Background in a national or large regional accounting firm
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to senior management and diverse stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to influence change and drive positive outcomes in a large, dispersed organization

Compensation Range
$97,400.00 - $162,200.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
