We are a growing real estate management and development company in the metro Detroit Area that is currently seeking an Accountant | Receivables | Payable | Payroll | Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. You will be one of two key individuals responsible for managing and maintaining our accounting and administrative processes.
Responsibilities:
Processing receivables and maintaining relationships with residents
Processing payables and maintaining vendor relationships
Processing billings for labor and other services
Processing billings for utility reimbursements
Processing payroll, interacting with our payroll processing vendor
Maintaining our property management database
Managing lease renewals
Processing move-ins and move-outs of residents
Maintaining checkbooks
Preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
Maintaining our Purchase Order system
Staying current with our property management/accounting software
Assisting in the preparation of operating budgets for each entity
Acting as one of our defacto Office Managers
Interacting with our outside accountants in preparing year-end tax returns
Maintaining a well-organized, efficient, and effective work environment
Maintaining the integrity of company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
Fundamental knowledge of YARDI and QuickBooks
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong organizational skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Deep experience with accounting software
Ability to be assertive when required
Forward thinking and goal driven

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
