What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at 14TH STREET CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH?
The candidate will provide secretarial and administrative services to the Council, Pastor, staff, and church committees and will assist in coordinating church activities and operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform secretarial services such as typing, electronic and paper filing, mailing, and collating.
- Maintain content of the church website.
- Monitor the church email account and church phone answering system.
- Prepare and publish the weekly worship bulletin and announcements.
- Prepare and distribute monthly church council packets.
- Maintain church membership records.
- Perform data entry of church giving and print quarterly statements.
- Maintain a master church schedule.
- Maintain electronic archives.
- Order office supplies and maintain office equipment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn Breeze or other church management systems.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Able to demonstrate the love of Christ in dealings with staff, church members, and guests of the church.
