Overview :
15 lightyears is looking for a full-time Solar Installer (Minimum 2 to 4 Years Experience Required) to join our team. As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. Our Solar Installers are a vital part of our organization and we take pride in hiring and training the best.
Job Type : Full-Time
Location : 15 lightyears corporate office located in Longwood, FL. Job is performed in several counties across Orlando, Florida.
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday and optional Saturdays as needed. Potential for overtime is available.

Responsibilities Include :
Work with a team installing solar PV and thermal systems on residential and commercial propertiesMechanical / structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipmentElectrical wiring of solar array / system (AC and DC)Pre-assemble job components in warehouseLayout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardwareCommunicate regularly with team members to ensure projects are moving along safely, quickly, and efficientlyMust maintain a safe work environment, and will be expected to follow Solar Impact and OSHA required safety protocols at all timesReview projects post install to determine areas for efficiency improvementMaintain inventory and cleanliness of company vehicle and warehouse at HQMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulationsArrive on-time and ready to perform daily workAbility to self-manage time and job tasks effectivelyQualifications :
Minimum of 2 - 4 Years experience as Solar InstallerHigh School Diploma or GED.Must be able to lift 50lbs.Commitment to performing high quality work.Ability to work well with smartphone apps and tablets.Excellent service and respect towards customers and crew members.Must be comfortable climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and regularly lifting heavy objects.Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as : ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment.Experience using basic hand and power tools.Ability to work in reasonable weather conditions.Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs.Performing repetitive duties including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.Valid Florida Driver's License with safe and responsible driving record.All Crew members must be able to pass drug tests and background checks.
