15 lightyears is looking for a full-time Solar Installer (Minimum 2 to 4 Years Experience Required) to join our team. As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. Our Solar Installers are a vital part of our organization and we take pride in hiring and training the best.
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: 15 lightyears corporate office located in Longwood, FL. Job is performed in several counties across Orlando, Florida.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday and optional Saturdays as needed. Potential for overtime is available.

Compensation And Benefits
- Pay: $20/hour

- Work with a team installing solar PV and thermal systems on residential and commercial properties
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
- Pre-assemble job components in warehouse
- Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware
- Communicate regularly with team members to ensure projects are moving along safely, quickly, and efficiently
- Must maintain a safe work environment, and will be expected to follow Solar Impact and OSHA required safety protocols at all times
- Review projects post install to determine areas for efficiency improvement
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of company vehicle and warehouse at HQ
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Arrive on-time and ready to perform daily work
- Ability to self-manage time and job tasks effectively
- Minimum of 2 - 4 Years experience as Solar Installer
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Commitment to performing high quality work.
- Ability to work well with smartphone apps and tablets.
- Excellent service and respect towards customers and crew members.
- Must be comfortable climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and regularly lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in reasonable weather conditions.
- Capable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs.
- Performing repetitive duties including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with safe and responsible driving record.
- All Crew members must be able to pass drug tests and background checks.
