Description : Job Purpose
The Intermediary Settlement Representative is responsible for working with our contracted vendors to provide documentation or information for the purposes of obtaining authorization and payment. This is done by communicating with vendors through email, telephone, conference calls. This position is fully remote.
Duties and Responsibilities
Processing Purchase Orders
- Reviewing and processing Purchase Orders submitted by vendor
- Confirm purchase order pricing, patient’s demographics, correct verbiage for date of service
- Process purchase orders for billing
Customer Service - Answering Emails / Telephone Calls
Providing top notch customer service to our vendors by answering questions, providing information requested within 2 days of receiving an inquiryThis may require the ability to further research an account when necessarySeeking Authorization
Filtering the authorization report and submitting it weekly for pending authorizations to the vendors for approval on initial, continued and supply billingYou may be required to review any discrepancy in data which needs to be updated prior to the report being sentFaxing or emailing the prescriptions to the vendors for authorization when neededCollections
Filtering the Aging report and review individual aging per vendor for any discrepancies before submitting to the vendorAllow the vendor 7 days to review the reporting and reply with responses to dates of serviceEscalate outstanding dates of service that are over 45 days old by email, telephone, or conference calls to determine and / or resolve outstanding paymentsReview vendor responses to Aging reportYou may be required to review any payment discrepancy or request write-offs as neededProvide justification to denied dates of serviceIf the vendor has not replied to the Aging report within 7 business days, continue to follow up and escalate to a manager if necessaryAdditional job duties and responsibilities as assignedRequirements : Qualifications
1 years of administrative experience in an office setting1 years of customer service experienceMust be a California resident and live within driving distance of the corporate office for occasional meetings and team buildings.Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeMedical authorization or collections experience is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills while working in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailPhysical Requirements
