Job Description: 

Ready to bring your energy and skills to a team that’s breaking new ground every day? 1708 Media is an Emmy Award-winning video production company based in Austin, Texas, focused on making it easy for companies to create consistent, growth-focused video content. Our team produces videos for brands ranging from startups to big brands like Google. The video production process can seem complicated and convoluted– our purpose is to make the video experience better. 


As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Executive to join our team and play a key role in expanding our client base, both in Texas and across the country. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for connecting with people and driving sales.

This is a full-time role reporting to the managing partner who oversees the sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of 1708 Media’s solutions and present tailored offerings to meet client needs
  • Create new business opportunities by engaging with organizations across all stages of the sales cycle, from targeting and prospecting to delivering compelling business proposals
  • Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and in-person networking
  • View our potential clients as partners, taking the time to understand their business and pain points 
  • Keep accurate and consistent records of sales activity and customer interactions using Apollo.io and Hubspot
  • Prepare regular pipeline reports
  • Effectively manage contract negotiations and close business deals with new clients
  • Represent 1708 Media at industry events and networking opportunities


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in sales, business development, or a related role 
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Experience in a remote role (preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns at once
  • Solution oriented mindset when interacting with prospects
  • Ability to hold engaging conversations with C-suite and VP level clients
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Desire to learn and adapt with data
  • Money motivated 
  • Willingness to travel for industry related events both across Texas and the US

  • Salary base range from $40-50k, plus commission
