Job Summary: As a Housekeeper at the 1754 House, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that define our boutique hotel and event center. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and event spaces to ensure a welcoming and pristine environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Room Cleaning:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Change bed linens and make beds to meet the hotel's standards.
- Replenish guest room amenities, including towels, toiletries, and coffee supplies.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Public Area Maintenance:
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness in event spaces before, during, and after events.
- Address any immediate cleaning needs or spills in high-traffic areas.
- Event Space Preparation:
- Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces as needed.
- Ensure event areas are cleaned and sanitized before and after events.
- Coordinate with event staff to ensure specific cleaning requirements are met.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and restock housekeeping supplies and equipment as needed.
- Maintain inventory levels and inform Manager of any shortages.
- Guest Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service and address guest requests or concerns in a professional manner.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
- Health and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy items.
