Electrical Controls Engineer (Direct Hire)
Serving an Interdisciplinary Team
The Electrical Controls Engineer supports a collaborative team in integrating new equipment into US-based locations.
This role is responsible for electrical system specifications, managing project expenditures to prevent cost overruns, supervising contractors and vendors, and overseeing project schedules.
As part of the project team, you will drive conceptual solutions for our production processes and ensure their successful implementation to meet project goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains all electrical specifications from concept to completion.
- Maintains project schedules and controls electrical expenditures.
- Evaluates system designs to ensure they meet project objectives.
- Conducts safety analyses and implements electrical safety designs.
- Integrates new machines into existing structures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong expertise in electrical, electronic, PLC, and process automation on complex manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA and electrical safety codes (NFPA, UL, IEC).
- Proficiency in EPLAN 2D, Siemens & AB PLC's, IBA, SAP, Office Suite, and Project Management.
- Siemens Step7 - WinCC programming experience preferred.
- RsLogix - FactoryTalk programming experience necessary.
- AC/DC Variable Frequency Drives – ABB, Siemens, Toshiba etc.
- Excellent organizational and communicational skills to support interdisciplinary project teams.
