Job Summary
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage all aspects of our company’s financial recordkeeping and reporting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and efficiently in a small-business environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
- Manage payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Provide financial insights and reports to management as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in public accounting or corporate accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in financial software, particularly QuickBooks or similar applications.
- Experience with accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
