Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports to assist management in decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting processes and monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Process invoices, payments, and payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct technical accounting tasks as needed, including governmental accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting department.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial software applications.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial report writing, and tax regulations.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills with attention to detail for accuracy in data entry.
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
