Job Summary
GoSaga is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accounting & Bookkeeping Specialist to manage key accounting functions and support operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to engage with clients effectively. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, provide training on accounting software, and ensure a high standard of client satisfaction while leveraging technology to streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Accounting Services:
- Execute end-to-end accounting duties, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end financial closures.
- Provide financial reports to each brand budget on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial transactions and records.
Operational and Financial Support:
- Conduct assessments of GoSaga and its subsidiary brand’s financial files, ensuring accuracy and identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing month-end close processes and financial statements.
- Collaborate as a secondary project manager on larger accounting initiatives.
Technology Utilization and Workflow Optimization:
Leverage technology tools, including QuickBooks Online, bill.com, banking systems and brand POS systems Zenoti and Momence, to enhance efficiency and automate workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- B.A. and advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity.
