Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies encompassing long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Financial Management: Oversee essential financial functions, including accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Implement robust internal controls and manage financial risks effectively
- Equity Management: Manage the company's equity program, including stock option plans, investor relations, and compliance with equity compensation regulations. Experience with equity-focused fundraising is essential
- Fundraising: Lead fundraising initiatives, develop compelling investor presentations, and negotiate with potential investors
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Offer data-driven financial insights to the leadership team
- M&A Strategy (Future): As the company evolves, contribute to potential M&A strategies, conducting due diligence and financial analysis for acquisitions
- Proven CFO or senior financial leadership experience in a startup environment; fractional CFO experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of financial principles (accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling)
- Deep knowledge of equity-based compensation and equity financing
- Demonstrated success in raising capital for early-stage companies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in investor relations and board communication
- Experience in a fractional or consulting capacity
