Cloud Security Architect - Azure focus
Hybrid WFH in Chicago or Austin - 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH
Summary
This is a Cloud Security Architect, driving cybersecurity and IAM architecture in a Microsoft environment, focusing on Azure security. This Architect will work on a growing team of 6 Cybersecurity Architects, to support the broader push for security in the midst of a large, global, digital transformation. This role will also interface closely with our GRC teams to ensure SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance is maintained with the cloud security architecture. This role will architect a variety of different solutions, including but not limited to : Azure IaaS & PaaS Security, Azure AD, CASB, CSPM, M365 Security Suite, SIEM, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, etc.
What you'll be doing
- Evaluating and implementing new technologies, technical configurations, and policies and standards.
- Evaluating currently deployed technologies against established good practices and providing reasoned recommendations for improvements.
- Ability to come to expert level knowledge of security solutions that will be implemented at the company
- Ensuring delivery of project goals and strong hand over practices to operational teams.
- Assisting with defining security reference architecture.
- Creation of Project Security Whitepapers describing the security risks of new solutions.
- Participating in the overall Architecture community
- Conduct risk assessments of vulnerabilities and threats to our systems and networks. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure ongoing compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Voting member of the Architecture Review board
- Participating in the development and delivery of the company wide cyber security strategy.
- Providing input in the assessment of enterprise cyber risk.
- Supporting investigations and incident response activities.
- Writing technical documentation.
