Event Captain

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Captain to lead our team in delivering exceptional food service experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Captain will oversee staff training, manage daily operations, and maintain high standards of service while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the food service team to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction.
• Train and mentor staff in food preparation, bartending, and service techniques.
• Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all culinary practices.
• Assist in menu planning and development to enhance the dining experience.
• Provide support in cooking and preparing food items as needed.
• Foster a collaborative atmosphere among team members to promote teamwork and efficiency.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to maintain high service standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in food service management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong background in culinary arts with knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Experience in bartending is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to train and develop staff effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong budgeting skills to help maintain operational costs while maximizing quality.
• A passion for coffee and beverage service is a plus.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 24 per week
